Description

This QTX QHS-863.8 pairs a neckband microphone with a beltpack transmitter, giving you a hands-free option for QTX portable PA units. It works as an alternative or a replacement for the microphones supplied with these systems, so you can keep an event running if you need a spare or want a different wearing style. The 863.8MHz UHF version is intended for use with the QXPA-plus and PAV8, while VHF models cover the QRPA and QXPA.

The neckband design sits around the neck and keeps the microphone close to your mouth, which frees up both hands for presenting, teaching or performing. The beltpack transmitter clips to your clothing and connects through a threaded 3.5mm mono jack, so the microphone stays firmly in place during movement. It also accepts Chord neckband and lavalier microphones (a lavalier is the small clip-on mic sometimes called a lapel mic), which gives you room to swap in a different capsule if your setup calls for it.

Power comes from two AA alkaline batteries, and the transmitter supplies 3V phantom power to the microphone. The beltpack measures 150 x 120 x 40mm and weighs 97g without batteries fitted, so it is light enough to wear for longer sessions. Match the frequency band to your QTX PA unit before ordering, as VHF and UHF versions are not interchangeable across the range.
