Description

The QTX J-MIC is a compact UHF wireless microphone set built for two-person use. It pairs two handheld transmitters with a single plug-in receiver, so you get a mix of both microphones through one 6.3mm mono output. There's no free-standing or rack-mounted receiver to find space for, which keeps the whole setup quick to carry and quick to run. It's a straightforward option for presentations, conferences and vocal performances where you need two voices without much fuss.

The receiver is self-powered and rechargeable over USB, using a Li-ion 18650 battery, so you don't have to keep it topped up with disposables. It plugs straight into a mixer or amplifier input via its integral 6.3mm mono plug. The two handheld microphones have metal bodies and each takes 2 x AA batteries. Both run on fixed UK/EU licence-free UHF frequencies (863.2MHz and 864.8MHz), so you can use them without applying for a licence in those regions.

Each handheld uses a dynamic cardioid capsule, which helps pick up the voice in front while rejecting sound from the sides and rear. Frequency response runs from 50Hz to 15kHz, and wireless range reaches up to 50m in clear conditions. No. Both microphones operate on fixed UK/EU licence-free UHF frequencies (863.2MHz and 864.8MHz), so no licence is required for use in those regions.

How is the receiver powered?

The receiver is self-powered with a rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery and charges via USB, so there are no batteries to replace on that part of the system.

What batteries do the handheld microphones use?

Each handheld transmitter takes 2 x AA batteries. You'll need four AA batteries in total to run both microphones.
