Description

This QTX Essential microphone lead carries balanced audio signals over a 12.0m run, connecting XLR female to XLR male. It is fully shielded, which helps keep interference out and gives you clean audio when you are running mics into a mixer or stage box. The balanced design is the standard choice for microphones and longer cable runs where noise can be a problem.

The cable itself has a soft-grip, rubberised jacket that resists tangling, so it coils neatly and lays flat during setup and pack-down. The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and the XLR plugs (or jacks, as they are sometimes called in the US) are professional die-cast fittings with a locking mechanism. That locking latch keeps the plug seated in the socket so it will not pull free mid-performance.

Inside, the 6.0mm diameter cable carries two conductors, each made from 20 strands at 0.1mm cross-section, which suits regular use on stage and in the studio. At 12.0m this is a useful length for reaching from the front of a room back to the desk, or for spacing out mics across a stage. It works with any equipment using standard three-pin XLR inputs and outputs, including microphones, mixers, active speakers and audio interfaces.
