Description

This QTX Essential microphone lead connects a female XLR to a 6.3mm mono jack plug (called a phone jack in the US), giving you a straightforward way to link microphones and audio gear that use unbalanced signals. It measures 3.0m, which suits most stage and studio setups where you need a bit of reach without excess cable to trip over or coil away.

The cable is fully shielded to help keep interference out of your signal, and it runs through a soft-grip, anti-tangle rubberised jacket. That jacket makes the lead easy to handle, quick to lay out and simple to pack down after a session. Inside, the conductor is made up of 2 x 20 strands at 0.1mm each, with an overall cable diameter of 6.0mm, so it stays flexible while holding up to regular use.

Connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and the ends use a professional die-cast female XLR connector and a 6.3mm mono jack plug. It is a practical choice for connecting dynamic microphones to mixers, amplifiers or recording interfaces that take a jack input, and works equally well for general audio patching where an unbalanced lead is the right fit. If you run a mix of gear at home, in a rehearsal space or on a small stage, this lead covers the basics without fuss.
