Description

This QTX Essential microphone lead carries balanced audio signals between XLR female and XLR male connections. It measures 3.0m, which suits most stage and studio setups where you need a bit of slack without excess cable underfoot. The fully shielded design helps keep interference out, so your signal stays clean over the run.

The cable itself has a soft-grip, rubberised jacket that resists tangling, which makes it quicker to coil and store between uses. Inside you get two 20-strand conductors at 0.1mm cross-section, wrapped in shielding within a 6.0mm diameter jacket. The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and the die-cast XLR connectors lock into place so the lead won't pull free during a set. XLR is the standard three-pin connector used for microphones and balanced line-level gear on both sides of the Atlantic.

We supply this lead as a straightforward, reliable option for connecting dynamic and condenser microphones to mixers, interfaces and stage boxes. The male and female ends let you daisy-chain leads together for longer runs, or plug straight into your mixing desk (sometimes called a board in the US). At 3.0m it works well for close-in vocal mics, drum overheads and instrument pickups alike. If you need to kit out a rehearsal room or small venue, it's an easy lead to keep spares of. The balanced wiring means you can run longer distances without picking up hum, and the locking connectors give you peace of mind that nothing will come loose mid-performance. It's a practical choice for regular gigging and everyday recording work where you want dependable audio without fuss.
