Description
This is our QTX Essential guitar lead, a fully shielded cable for connecting guitars, instruments and audio gear that carry unbalanced signals. It runs to 6.0m, giving you room to move on stage or space to reach across a studio setup. At each end you get a 6.3mm mono jack plug, also written as a quarter-inch jack in the US, so it fits the standard input on most guitars, amps and pedals.
We have built the lead with a soft-grip, rubberised jacket that resists tangles and feels comfortable to coil and store. The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and the plugs are professional die-cast 6.3mm mono jacks. Inside, the cable measures 6.0mm across and uses a 7-strand conductor made from 0.16mm strands, with full shielding to help keep interference out of the signal path.
It works as a straightforward instrument lead for gigs, rehearsals and home recording, and the length suits players who like to roam without being tied to their amp. Because it handles unbalanced signals, it pairs well with electric guitars, bass and keyboards, along with the outputs and inputs you find on typical audio equipment. If you want a dependable lead that stays out of the way and does its job, this one covers the basics without fuss.
