Description

The QTX DM11S is a handheld dynamic microphone built for vocals and general PA or recording work. It has a durable plastic body with a steel mesh windshield, so it holds up well to regular handling and stage use. The silver finish keeps it simple and practical, and at 170mm long and 180g it sits comfortably in the hand.

It uses a unidirectional (cardioid) polar pattern, which picks up sound from the front and rejects noise coming from the sides and rear. That helps keep unwanted background noise and feedback down when you are working close to speakers or in a busy room. The frequency response runs from 80Hz to 14kHz, with a sensitivity of -68dB (±3dB) and an impedance of 600 Ohms, giving you a clear, usable signal across speech and singing.

An on/off slide switch on the body lets you mute the mic quickly without reaching for the mixer. The microphone connects via an XLRM output, and it comes supplied with a 3.0m lead that runs from XLRF to a 6.3mm mono jack (also called a 1/4-inch jack), so you can plug straight into most mixers, amplifiers or PA systems. It is a straightforward, ready-to-use option for anyone starting out or needing a reliable spare.
