Description
The QTX Busker-12 is a complete portable PA system built into a sturdy cabinet with a front-mounted control panel. Its built-in amplifier runs from the mains or an internal rechargeable battery, driving a main loudspeaker and a compression-driven horn unit. You get up to 6 hours of battery life from a full charge, which takes around 8 hours to top up, so you can run the system away from a power socket for outdoor events, busking or mobile announcements.
Two VHF handheld microphones are included, and there are two further wired mic inputs at the rear alongside an auxiliary line input and a musical instrument (guitar) input. An integral USB/SD/FM media player gives you an onboard audio source, and Bluetooth wireless pairing lets you stream from a phone or tablet. There is an echo effect for the microphones and a switchable voice-over function that ducks the music when you speak. Rear controls cover guitar volume, echo, wired mic volume, bass, treble and master, with front controls for the VHF mic and media player.
Moving the Busker-12 is straightforward thanks to integral carry handles, a retractable trolley handle and rear wheels. A 35mm pole mount socket lets you raise it on a speaker stand (also called a tripod pole) for better sound spread. The system is supplied with a UK IEC power lead and accepts 230Vac mains or 12Vdc, with a 4 Ohm loudspeaker load and an RCA line output for connecting to further equipment.
