Description

The Qbic is a 96cm linear suspension light built as a clear glass rectangular box held together by exposed brass corner brackets, with an integrated 50W 3000K LED tube running through its centre. The smoked clear glass panels are bolted to the brass hardware at each corner and along the top and bottom edges, leaving the internal LED strip visible from every angle. Twin steel suspension cables drop from the ceiling to support the fitting.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, boardroom tables and bar counters, the Qbic suits long horizontal surfaces where a single linear light can wash the full length of the table. The 96cm body works well above tables of 1.4m or longer. Suspension height is adjustable on the steel cables during installation, so the fitting can be set 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher above a walkway. The integrated LED removes the need to source separate bulbs.

The construction sits between industrial and contemporary, with the visible brass hardware and exposed cabling giving the fitting an engineered, mechanical character against the smoked glass shell. The 25cm height and 25cm width give the Qbic enough physical presence to hold its own above a substantial table without dominating the room. The 50W output at 3000K produces warm white light suitable for dining and entertaining rather than task work.

The metal and glass build, backed by a 2-year warranty, is finished to be viewed from below as well as from the side, with no exposed driver housing or cable clutter inside the glass box. The clear glass means the LED tube reads as a floating bar of light rather than a hidden source.
