Description

This purple sedum spray brings the soft, clustered look of late-summer sedum indoors without any of the upkeep. Each head is made up of dozens of tiny star-shaped florets packed tightly into rounded blooms, catching the light much like the real plant does in a border. The deep purple tone carries plenty of depth, shifting from dusky plum at the centre to lighter mauve at the tips, so the flowers read as natural rather than flat. Held on a slim green stem, this artificial flower stem stands 58cm tall and holds its shape without wilting or dropping.

Made from plastic, the stem is sturdy yet slender enough to sit neatly among other blooms. Slot it into a tall glass vase on its own, or gather three or four stems for a fuller autumnal display. It mixes happily with grasses, dried stems and other faux florals, and the muted purple works well alongside creams, rusts and soft greens. Try it on a hallway console, a kitchen windowsill or a dining table centrepiece where fresh flowers would be hard to keep going.
