Description

The Pure is a 400mm cylindrical pendant light in black extruded aluminium, designed to attach magnetically to Ideal Lux Ego magnetic track systems. The pendant houses an integrated 12W LED at 3000K colour temperature, casting warm white downlight through the open lower aperture of the cylinder. The magnetic base allows the pendant to be positioned anywhere along a powered track and moved without tools or re-wiring.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas, office desks and retail spaces where directed task lighting is needed and flexibility matters, the Pure works best when fitted to Ideal Lux Ego magnetic track (sold separately). The pendant attaches via a magnetic connector that locks into the track and powers the LED driver inside the pendant body. The 1130mm cable run allows the pendant to hang at different heights from the track depending on ceiling clearance and task surface height, and the cable can be shortened on installation if needed.

The extruded aluminium cylinder measures 40mm in diameter and 400mm in height, giving a narrow profile that works well in multiples along a single track length. The black anodised finish pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors, and the narrow beam angle focuses light downwards rather than casting wide ambient wash. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible mains dimmer on the track circuit, allowing output to be adjusted from full 12W brightness down to lower levels for evening use or mood lighting.

The magnetic attachment system means the Pure can be removed from the track, repositioned along its length, or swapped out for other Ego-compatible magnetic fittings without touching the track wiring. This makes the system useful in spaces that need reconfiguration over time, such as galleries, showrooms, flexible office layouts and hospitality areas where lighting positions change with furniture or displays.

Does this work with standard track systems?

No. The Pure is designed exclusively for Ideal Lux Ego magnetic track systems. It will not fit onto standard three-circuit track or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks. The Ego track is sold separately and must be installed first.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 12W LED is dimmable when a compatible mains dimmer is installed on the circuit feeding the magnetic track. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — check with the dimmer manufacturer or contact us before pairing.

Can the pendant be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The magnetic base allows the pendant to be removed from the track, repositioned along its length, or swapped with other Ego-compatible fittings without tools or re-wiring. The track remains powered, so the pendant re-engages and lights up immediately when placed in a new position.

What is the beam angle?

The Pure casts light downwards through the open lower aperture of the cylinder. The beam is narrow and directed, making it suitable for task lighting over worktops, desks and dining tables rather than wide ambient wash.
