Description

The Puntes is a 126.5cm crystal column floor lamp built around a slender 20cm-diameter chrome-plated stainless steel frame housing eight E14 bulb fittings. Vertically aligned tiers of cut crystal prisms wrap the column in a geometric lattice, with each prism catching and refracting light from the eight internal bulbs to create a display of dispersed reflections across surrounding walls and ceilings.

Designed for living rooms, entrance halls and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Puntes provides both ambient room lighting through the diffused crystal refraction and decorative impact as a lit sculpture. The narrow 20cm footprint allows placement in corners, beside sofas or between furniture without occupying significant floor area. The chrome base and top cap provide structural support and conceal the wiring and bulb holders within the column.

Each crystal prism is individually faceted and hung on the chrome framework, so the lamp displays subtle variations in how light refracts depending on viewing angle and bulb configuration. The stainless steel construction gives the 126.5cm column rigidity without excessive weight, and the chrome finish resists tarnishing in typical indoor humidity. What bulbs does the Puntes take?

The lamp takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to create the refracted light effect without excessive heat buildup inside the column.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen. If you fit dimmable LED E14 bulbs and connect the lamp to a compatible LED dimmer switch, the light output can be controlled. The lamp itself does not include an integrated dimmer.

How is the crystal maintained?

The crystal prisms attract dust over time, particularly in high-traffic rooms. Clean by wiping each prism gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal framework or allowing moisture into the electrical components. Do not use glass cleaners or chemical sprays.

Can the lamp be placed on thick carpet?

The 20cm circular chrome base provides stability on bare floors, tiles and short-pile rugs. On thick carpet the base may sink slightly and reduce stability — consider placing a thin rigid plate under the base if the carpet is particularly soft or shag-pile.
