Description

The Puntes is an 18 light crystal chandelier built around a three-tier polished chrome frame that cascades faceted glass crystals across 77cm diameter and 70-93cm adjustable drop. Each of the eighteen E14 bulbs sits behind a layer of trapezoidal cut crystals that refract light into prismatic patterns on surrounding walls and ceilings.

Designed for dining rooms with table lengths of 2.4-3m or entrance halls with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Puntes combines ambient and decorative lighting through the interaction between direct bulb output and refracted crystal light. The three tiers are graduated in diameter, with the largest tier at the top stepping down to a smaller lower tier, creating a drum-and-cascade silhouette when viewed from below. The adjustable chain allows the chandelier to be set between 70-93cm drop on installation, accommodating different ceiling heights without requiring permanent chain modification.

The polished chrome frame reflects surrounding light and pairs the faceted crystals with a mirrored metallic finish that amplifies brightness in the room. Each crystal is a trapezoidal section with multiple facets, giving sharper rainbow refractions than rounded crystals when lit. The combined weight of the chrome frame and eighteen crystal layers gives the chandelier substantial presence without overwhelming rooms with ceiling heights below 3.5m. The IP20 rating limits the chandelier to dry indoor locations only.

The chandelier takes eighteen E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance brightness across all eighteen points without overpowering the space.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 70-93cm adjustable drop suits ceiling heights of 3m or above when installed over a dining table or in an entrance hall. For rooms with 2.7-2.9m ceilings, the chandelier can still be installed at minimum drop if the space underneath is not a high-traffic walkway.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer switch installed. LED candle bulbs marked as 'dimmable' will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker if connected to a dimmer circuit.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch off power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or allowing water to drip into the bulb sockets. Do not use household glass cleaners or sprays.
