Provence Element 1 Light Mini Table Lamp - White & Polished Nickel

The Provence Element is a 523mm articulated mini table lamp with a white metal conical shade, white arms and a white circular base, connected by polished nickel joints at the shade pivot, mid-arm hinge and base mount. The shade tilts and the arm adjusts through two points, allowing the lamp head to be positioned over a desk edge, angled towards a bedside reading position, or folded back close to the wall.

Designed for bedside tables, compact desks and narrow console tables where space limits a larger task lamp, the Provence Element pairs articulation with a 210mm-diameter footprint that fits alcoves and tight corners. The lamp takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament depending on the light temperature and brightness needed. The conical shade directs light downwards and forwards, making it more effective as task lighting than ambient.

The white finish on the shade, arms and base gives a cleaner appearance than exposed metal, while the polished nickel joints at each pivot point add functional detail and visual contrast. The metal construction keeps the overall weight low enough for side tables and floating shelves, and the polished nickel resists tarnishing better than brass in humid rooms. The compact proportions suit single desks, dressing tables and bedside positions in guest rooms where a floor lamp would dominate the space.

What bulb does it take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED in 2700K-3000K for reading or desk work.

How much can the arm adjust?

The arm articulates at two polished nickel joints — one at the shade head and one mid-arm — allowing the lamp to extend forwards over a desk edge or fold back close to the base. The shade also tilts on its pivot to direct light downwards or at an angle.

Is it stable on narrow surfaces?

The 210mm circular base provides stability on most bedside tables and desks. On very narrow surfaces (under 250mm deep) the lamp may need to be positioned with the base against the wall to prevent tipping when the arm is fully extended.

Can it be used as a reading lamp?

Yes. The articulated arm allows the shade to be positioned next to a bedside pillow or armchair, and the downward-directed light from the conical shade suits focused reading without spilling light across the room.
