Description

The Provence is a single-arm wall light with a conical metal shade finished in old bronze, mounted on an adjustable knuckle joint that allows the shade to be angled up or down. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind the 210mm-wide cone, directing light either towards a surface for task lighting or upwards for ambient wash.

Designed for bedside reading positions, hallway accent lighting, and kitchen worktop task light, the Provence projects 340mm from the wall when the arm is extended straight. The knuckle joint between the backplate and shade arm gives a range of approximately 90 degrees of vertical adjustment, allowing the cone to be set to illuminate a desktop, a book held in an armchair, or the wall above the fitting depending on the installation height and intended use.

The old bronze finish is a darkened metal patina that sits between matt black and aged brass in tone, giving a warmer appearance than plain black while retaining the industrial character of exposed metalwork. The combined steel shade and brass components give the fitting a solid 1.2kg weight that suits traditional, industrial and mid-century interiors. The circular backplate mounts to a standard UK wall box and the shade can be angled before the bulb is fitted to set the preferred light direction.
