Description

The Pro Focus is a 40cm cylindrical pendant light with a 6cm diameter brushed gold aluminium body, suspended on a black cable from a matching gold ceiling rose. The cylinder houses a single GU10 downlight bulb (sold separately) that casts a focused beam downwards through the open lower aperture, making this a directional accent light rather than ambient room lighting.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, reception desks and corridor runs where narrow-beam task light is needed, the Pro Focus suits installations with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The 340cm maximum drop allows the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or bar surface, putting light exactly where chopping, prep work or reading takes place. The slim 6cm diameter means multiple pendants can be hung in a row without visual clutter — a typical 1.5m kitchen island takes three evenly spaced Pro Focus units.

The brushed gold finish on the aluminium body softens reflections and pairs with brass cabinet handles, gold-toned tap fittings and warm metallics across contemporary and transitional kitchens. The cylinder is open at both ends, so some upward spill light reaches the ceiling rose depending on the beam angle of the GU10 bulb chosen. An IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.

The Pro Focus takes a single GU10 bulb up to 6W. Most users fit a warm-white LED GU10 between 3W-5W at 2700K-3000K. The bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb chosen. Use a dimmable LED GU10 bulb paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no dimming restrictions.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

For a typical 1.5m island, three Pro Focus pendants spaced 500mm apart work well. For a 2m island, four pendants. The slim 6cm diameter allows close spacing without the fittings interfering visually with each other.

Is the cable length adjustable?

Yes. The 340cm maximum drop can be shortened during installation by trimming the cable and re-terminating it at the ceiling rose. Most installers set the pendant 700-900mm above the worktop surface depending on ceiling height.
