Description

The Pro Extra is an 80cm linear pendant light built around a 3cm-diameter aluminium tube with an integrated 6W LED running the length of the cylinder. The black powder-coated aluminium housing conceals an acrylic diffuser that spreads 4000K neutral white light along the fitting's length, providing directed task illumination rather than ambient wash.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and work surfaces where focused downlight is needed, the Pro Extra hangs on a single suspension cable that allows the height to be adjusted up to a maximum drop of 380cm from the ceiling canopy. The narrow 3cm diameter and 80cm length make the fitting visually minimal over long surfaces, and multiple units can be run in parallel above kitchen islands or commercial workbenches without overwhelming the ceiling plane.

The 4000K colour temperature sits in the neutral-white range, providing enough contrast for task work without skewing warm or cool. The acrylic diffuser softens the LED strip inside the tube, reducing visible hotspots and giving a more even light distribution along the 80cm length. The black finish pairs with contemporary monochrome schemes and industrial-style interiors where metal, concrete and muted tones dominate. The fitting is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and carries a 3-year manufacturer guarantee.

Frequently Asked

Is the Pro Extra dimmable?

The integrated LED is a non-dimmable 6W unit running on 220-240V mains. It cannot be paired with a dimmer switch without risking damage to the driver.

What ceiling height is needed?

The maximum drop is 380cm from the ceiling canopy to the base of the fitting. For a kitchen island or dining table, the pendant typically hangs 70-90cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The suspension cable is adjustable on installation.

What is the 4000K colour temperature like?

4000K is neutral white — between the warm 2700-3000K of traditional household bulbs and the cooler 5000K+ of clinical lighting. It provides good colour rendering for task work without feeling overly warm or clinical.

Can multiple Pro Extra pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The narrow 3cm diameter and linear form make it practical to install two or more Pro Extra pendants in parallel above a kitchen island or long dining table without the fittings visually competing with each other.
