Description

The Pro Base is a 40cm LED column pendant built from a single aluminium tube finished in brushed gold, housing an integrated 6W LED and acrylic diffuser. The pendant measures 3cm in diameter across its 40cm drop, giving it a slim vertical profile that reads as a single illuminated column when lit. The 4000K colour temperature produces neutral white light midway between warm and cool tones.

Designed for installation over kitchen islands, dining tables, or in entrance halls, the Pro Base works as a solo pendant in small rooms or clustered in groups of 3-5 across wider surfaces. The 340cm maximum drop from the ceiling rose allows adjustment during fitting to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m. The slim 3cm diameter means multiple pendants can be installed close together without visual crowding, a useful feature when lighting a 1.8-2.4m island where wider shades would overlap.

The brushed gold finish is applied to aluminium rather than brass, giving a consistent tone without the tarnish or patina that develops on solid brass over time. The IP20 rating limits the pendant to dry indoor spaces — it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies. The integrated 6W LED can be dimmed if paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Check with Maytoni's technical documentation or contact us to confirm which dimmer models work with this fitting before installation.

How many pendants are needed over a kitchen island?

For a 1.8-2.4m island, 3-5 Pro Base pendants spaced evenly provide balanced task lighting. The slim 3cm diameter allows closer spacing than wider shades — typically 40-50cm apart on-centre.

Can the cable length be shortened?

Yes. The 340cm maximum drop can be shortened during installation by looping excess cable in the ceiling rose or using a ceiling hook at the desired height. Most installations for standard 2.4-2.7m ceilings use 60-100cm of the available drop.

What happens when the LED fails?

The LED is integrated and non-replaceable. At end of life (typically 25,000+ hours), the entire pendant would need replacing. Maytoni provides a 3-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.
