Description

The Prismatic is a 255mm black metal enclosure designed to house LED drivers in track lighting systems and commercial installations where the driver cannot be concealed within the ceiling void. The box measures 255mm long by 75mm deep, providing space for typical constant-voltage or constant-current LED drivers used with track heads, display lighting and architectural downlights.

Installed in commercial retail, gallery and hospitality settings where track lighting runs across exposed ceilings or where ceiling voids are too shallow to accommodate drivers, the Prismatic mounts directly onto ceiling surfaces or within suspended grid systems. The matt black powder-coated finish matches standard black track systems and reduces visual prominence against dark ceilings. Cable entry points at both ends allow through-wiring for multiple driver boxes in series.

The metal construction shields the driver from dust ingress and minor impact, extending driver lifespan in environments with airborne particles or frequent access for maintenance. The 75mm projection sits flush against most ceiling planes without creating a visual obstruction below 3m ceiling heights. The 255mm internal length accommodates most compact constant-voltage and constant-current LED drivers up to approximately 240mm. Check your specific driver dimensions before ordering — drivers wider than 70mm or taller than 60mm may not fit comfortably.

How is it mounted?

The box mounts directly to ceiling surfaces using screws through the rear panel. Cable entry points at both ends allow the box to be positioned inline with track runs or surface-mounted conduit.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No. The Prismatic carries no IP rating and is designed for indoor use only. It provides dust protection and light impact shielding but is not sealed against moisture ingress.
