Description

The Prismatic is a 240W constant voltage LED driver delivering a stable 48V DC output from mains AC input, housed in a weatherproof metal enclosure measuring 244mm x 68mm. The driver provides regulated power for LED strip lighting, linear LED arrays and multi-unit outdoor LED installations requiring 48V DC at up to 5A total draw.

Rated IP67, the driver is fully sealed against dust ingress and protected against immersion up to 1m depth for 30 minutes, making it suitable for outdoor ground-level installation in landscape lighting schemes, architectural facade lighting, garden path lighting and commercial signage where the driver may be exposed to rain, snow or wash-down conditions. The metal housing dissipates heat passively without fans, avoiding mechanical failure points common to forced-air cooling.

The 240mm body length allows the driver to be mounted in shallow service pits, behind signage panels or under decking where vertical clearance is limited but the 244mm run can be accommodated horizontally. The 68mm projection including cable glands fits within standard UK ground boxes and wall-mounted outdoor enclosures. The driver includes overload, overvoltage and thermal protection, shutting down automatically if load exceeds 240W or if internal temperature reaches the protection threshold.

This driver is non-dimmable and provides constant voltage output only — it is not suitable for applications requiring constant current drive or dimming control. For installations requiring dimming, a separate mains dimmer and dimmable-rated driver are needed.
