Description

The Prismatic is a 90W constant voltage LED driver delivering stable 48V DC output from 220-240V AC mains, housed in a sealed IP67-rated metal enclosure measuring 220mm x 68mm. The driver converts mains power to a regulated 48V supply suitable for running low-voltage LED strip lighting, outdoor LED modules, and architectural lighting systems that require constant voltage rather than constant current.

Designed for outdoor and wet-location installations, the IP67 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and immersion in water up to 1m depth for 30 minutes. This makes the driver suitable for garden lighting, pathway illumination, facade lighting, decking lights, and other external applications where the driver may be exposed to rain, hose-down cleaning, or ground-level moisture. The sealed metal housing also protects the internal components from corrosion in coastal or humid environments.

The 90W output capacity supports LED loads drawing up to 1.875A at 48V, allowing the driver to power approximately 7-9 metres of high-output 48V LED strip or multiple individual 48V LED modules connected in parallel. The constant voltage design maintains the 48V output level regardless of minor fluctuations in mains voltage, preventing LED brightness variation. The driver operates at temperatures from -30°C to +60°C ambient, extending its usability across UK seasonal temperature ranges.

The unit is non-dimmable and intended for fixed-output installations. Cable entry points at either end of the housing accept standard IP67-rated cable glands for secure weatherproof connections. The metal case includes mounting lugs for surface fixing to walls, junction boxes, or equipment housings.
