Description
The Prea is a single-head LED reading wall light with a cylindrical antique brass head mounted on a circular backplate, incorporating a flush-mounted on/off switch within the 80mm diameter base. The integrated 3W LED delivers 210 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a narrow 30° beam angle, directing the output as a focused reading beam rather than ambient wash.
Designed for bedside, armchair-side and desk alcove installation where local task lighting is needed without overhead fittings, the Prea projects just 85mm from the wall and weighs 390g once installed. The on/off switch sits on the backplate face, allowing the light to be toggled without reaching for a wall switch or cord pull. The antique brass finish shows a darker patinated tone compared to polished or brushed brass, pairing with traditional, mid-century and warmer-toned contemporary interiors.
The tubular head rotates on its mounting point, allowing the beam to be angled across a page, down onto a worktop, or up onto a wall as indirect accent lighting. The 3W LED output is fixed (not dimmable) and draws minimal power on 100-240V mains, making it suitable for permanent bedside installation where the light may be left on overnight as a low-level night light. The narrow beam keeps spill light contained, reducing disturbance to others in the same room.

Frequently Asked
Is the head adjustable?
Yes. The tubular head rotates on its mounting point, allowing the beam to be angled towards a reading position, down onto a surface, or up onto a wall. The rotation is friction-held rather than ratcheted, so the head stays where you position it.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated 3W LED operates at a fixed output of 210 lumens and is not compatible with dimmer switches.
How bright is 210 lumens for reading?
210 lumens through a 30° beam provides adequate light for reading text at close range (30-50cm from the page). It is brighter than a typical bedside lamp with a 40W incandescent bulb, but not as bright as a dedicated desk lamp. The warm 3000K tone reduces eye strain during extended reading.
What wiring is required?
The Prea requires a permanent mains connection to a standard lighting circuit (live, neutral, earth). It does not use a plug. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, particularly if a new wall chase and back box are needed.
