Description

The Points is a 327mm linear track light designed for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system, housing an integrated 18W LED array inside a black aluminium housing that measures 44mm high and 22mm wide. The hidden LED source casts light through a 36° beam angle, producing focused illumination at 4000K neutral white. The fixture runs on DC 48V supplied by the magnetic track and installs by clipping onto the track's magnetic rail without exposed wiring.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail displays and commercial workspaces where directed task lighting is needed along a linear run, the Points pairs with Exility track sections to create continuous or spaced lighting configurations. The 36° beam keeps light concentrated on worksurfaces, product displays or desk areas without spilling into adjacent zones. The recessed LED sits behind a diffuser panel that reduces glare and hides the diode array when viewed from typical standing or seated positions.

The black anodised aluminium body absorbs light and blends into dark ceilings and ceiling-mounted track, giving a low-profile appearance when the track is installed flush or surface-mounted. The IP20 rating limits the fixture to dry indoor environments. Each Points module draws 18W from the track's central power supply, allowing multiple modules to be installed on a single track run without individual wiring to each fixture. The 327mm length suits track segments spaced at 300-400mm intervals for even coverage or clustered closer for higher light density over specific zones.

Is this compatible with standard mains-voltage track systems?

No. The Points requires Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system which supplies DC 48V. It will not fit or operate on standard mains-voltage 3-circuit track lighting systems from other manufacturers.

What is the beam angle and where does the light fall?

The 36° beam angle produces a focused cone of light suitable for task lighting over worksurfaces, desks and product displays. At typical ceiling heights of 2.4-3m, the illuminated area on the surface below measures approximately 1.5-2m in diameter per module.

Can the light be dimmed?

Dimming capability depends on the Exility track power supply unit. Some Exility systems support dimming via a compatible controller; consult the track system specification or contact us to confirm compatibility before ordering.

How many Points modules can be installed on a single track?

The maximum number depends on the total wattage capacity of the Exility track power supply. Each Points module draws 18W. A typical 150W power supply supports up to 8 modules; a 200W supply supports up to 11 modules. Check the power supply rating before planning the installation.
