Description

The Maytoni Points is a 327mm linear LED track light with an integrated 18W LED and adjustable colour temperature between 2700K warm white and 6000K cool white. The fitting mounts onto Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system via a magnetic clip-on connector, allowing it to be repositioned along the track without tools. The black aluminium body houses the LED array and DALI dimming driver behind a recessed aperture that directs light through a 36° beam angle.

Designed for task and accent lighting in retail, gallery, kitchen and workspace installations, the Points allows colour temperature and brightness to be adjusted via a DALI controller. This makes it suitable for environments where lighting needs change throughout the day — warm white for evening residential use, cool white for daytime task lighting, or mid-tones for product display. The recessed LED position reduces direct glare, and the narrow beam provides concentrated light on surfaces below without wash spill into adjacent areas.

The aluminium construction dissipates heat from the 18W LED, and the IP20 rating limits the fitting to interior dry locations. The magnetic track connection requires Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system (sold separately), which operates on 48V DC. The track itself is powered by a separate driver that connects to mains, while the Points fitting draws 48V DC from the track. The 327mm length allows multiple fittings to be arranged in sequence or staggered positions along a single track run, creating linear lighting layouts without visible cabling between fittings.

What track system does this work with?

The Points is designed for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system only. It will not fit standard 3-circuit track rails or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks. The Exility track and power supply must be purchased separately.

How is the colour temperature and dimming controlled?

The fitting requires a DALI controller to adjust brightness and colour temperature. DALI is a digital lighting control protocol — you cannot adjust these features with a standard wall dimmer. The DALI controller connects to the track power supply and communicates with individual fittings via the track.

What is the beam angle and light output?

The 36° beam provides focused downlight suitable for task lighting and accent lighting. The 18W LED output will vary depending on the selected colour temperature, with warm white typically producing lower lumens than cool white at the same wattage.

Can multiple fittings be used on one track?

Yes. The Exility track can support multiple Points fittings along its length, each individually controllable via DALI if the controller supports multi-zone addressing. Consult the track power supply's maximum load rating to determine how many 18W fittings can be safely installed on a single track run.
