Description

The Points is a 220mm linear track light designed for Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system, housing an integrated 12W LED behind a recessed white aluminium frame. The LED casts 4000K neutral light through a 36° beam angle, producing focused directional illumination without visible bulb glare. The recessed lens sits behind the face of the fitting, creating what Maytoni calls an 'invisible light' effect where the lit surface is visible but the light source itself is hidden from typical viewing angles.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail display and commercial workspaces where task lighting and accent lighting need to coexist, the Points attaches to 48V DC magnetic track via integral magnetic connectors. Once clicked into the track channel the fitting can be repositioned along the run without tools or re-wiring. The 36° beam suits spotlighting countertops, shelving, artwork and product displays at distances of 1-2m from the track to the lit surface.

The white aluminium construction measures 220mm long by 22mm wide by 44mm high, giving a low-profile linear form that sits close to the ceiling without dominating sightlines in typical 2.4-2.7m residential ceiling heights. The recessed lens reduces direct glare when the fitting is mounted overhead, which is useful above workstations and kitchen islands where users frequently look upward. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations.

The 4000K colour temperature produces neutral white light that sits between the warmer 2700-3000K typical of living spaces and the cooler 5000-6500K used in clinical or industrial settings. The Points is designed specifically for Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system running at 48V DC. It will not fit standard mains-voltage track rails or other manufacturers' magnetic systems. The Exility track, driver and compatible fittings are sold separately.

Can the fitting be moved once installed?

Yes. The magnetic connection allows the fitting to be repositioned anywhere along the Exility track run without tools or switching off the power. This makes it easy to adjust beam positions as furniture or display layouts change.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool daylight (5000-6500K). It provides clear task visibility and accurate colour rendering without the yellow warmth of living room lighting or the blue cast of clinical environments.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and should only be used in dry indoor spaces away from direct water contact. For bathrooms you need IP44 or higher rated fittings.
