Description

A little capsule lamp that puts out a crisp, cool light from a body barely bigger than the pins it stands on. It draws 4W and gives 350 lumens, enough for the small fittings G9 lamps tend to live in, and the colour sits at a bright daylight 6000K rather than anything soft or yellow. The clear finish leaves the light source on show, so it sparkles behind glass shades and crystal droplets. It dims with a compatible dimmer, which is sold separately.

We reach for this one where a room needs to look awake: IP44 mirror lights in a bathroom, small glass pendants over a worktop, cloakroom wall lights and the multi-arm fittings that take capsules. The cool tone suits white tiles, chrome and pale stone, and it helps with close work where you want edges and colours read true, shaving or chopping among them. In a bedroom or sitting room you may want something warmer, so we would keep these for the working parts of the house and pair them with a dimmer you already trust.
