Description

This Elstead picture light combines a 370mm polished brass cylindrical tube housing two E14 bulb fittings with an adjustable bracket mounted on a square polished brass wall plate. The tube directs light downwards onto framed artwork, with the bracket allowing the angle to be adjusted to suit different frame depths and hanging heights.

Designed for illuminating larger paintings, prints and photographs in galleries, living rooms, hallways and staircases, the 370mm tube width suits frames between 600-900mm wide. The two-bulb configuration provides even light distribution across the artwork surface without creating a bright centre spot. The adjustable brass arm allows the light to be angled closer to or further from the wall depending on the frame projection and glazing type.

The polished brass finish provides a high-shine reflective surface that pairs well with gilt frames, traditional oil paintings and classical interiors. The cylindrical tube housing shields the bulbs from direct view when standing at typical viewing positions, reducing glare while maximising light output onto the artwork. The square wall plate measures approximately 100mm and mounts to a standard UK back box or directly to the wall surface depending on existing wiring configuration.

The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle or golf-ball bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to provide warm accent lighting without heat damage to artwork.

Yes. The brass arm pivots on the wall plate, allowing the tube to be angled towards or away from the wall to suit different frame depths and to avoid glare on glazed artworks.

What size artwork does it suit?
