Description

This picture light combines a black cylindrical tube with a gold-lined interior and a decorative square backplate, fitted with two adjustable E14 bulb fittings. The tube measures 360mm wide and projects 200mm from the wall on an adjustable bracket, allowing the light to be angled to suit frames of varying depth and the wall position of larger artworks or framed prints.

Designed to illuminate artworks between 600mm and 900mm wide, the dual-bulb configuration provides even coverage across the canvas or print without hotspots. The adjustable bracket rotates on a brass-bushed joint, tilting the light closer to the wall for shallow frames or away from the wall for deep box frames or canvases. The black exterior finish absorbs ambient light, keeping visual attention on the artwork rather than the fitting itself.

The gold interior acts as a reflector, directing light forward onto the artwork while adding warmth to the beam colour. The square backplate conceals the wall fixings and provides a stable anchor point for the 200mm projection. The fitting accepts two E14 bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white or daylight LED bulbs depending on the colour palette of the artwork being lit.

The 360mm tube width provides even illumination for artworks between 600mm and 900mm wide. For narrower pieces the light may spill beyond the frame edges; for wider pieces a second fitting may be needed for balanced coverage.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match gallery lighting colour temperatures.

Can the light angle be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The bracket rotates on a joint, allowing the tube to be tilted closer to the wall for shallow frames or further out for deep box frames or canvases. The adjustment is made by hand and holds position through friction.

Does the gold interior affect the light colour?
