Description

The Pickering Lane is a 3 light semi-flush ceiling light built around a seeded glass shade in a storm lantern shape, capped top and bottom with polished nickel metalwork and suspended on a short turned stem from a matching polished nickel ceiling plate. Three E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the glass, and the seeded texture diffuses their light across the shade surface.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the semi-flush format places the glass body close to the ceiling while maintaining a gap for heat dissipation. The 254mm width suits hallways, landing areas, smaller dining rooms and bedroom central positions. The fixture can also be chain-suspended on installation if preferred, with 915mm of chain supplied allowing conversion to a pendant configuration with a maximum 1405mm drop.

The polished nickel finish provides a cooler metallic tone than brass or bronze, pairing well with greys, whites and cool-toned contemporary palettes while retaining the traditional farmhouse proportions of the storm lantern glass. The seeded texture inside the glass creates visible texture and light refraction when the bulbs are on, preventing the interior metalwork from dominating the appearance. At 427mm total height including ceiling plate and stem, the fitting projects approximately 400mm from the ceiling when semi-flush mounted.
