Description

The Photonix is a twin-head outdoor lamp post built from extruded and turned aluminium with a black powder-coated finish. Two matt white plastic diffusers sit on arms projecting 200mm from a central 575mm-tall column, each housing an E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). The IP44 rating protects against solid objects over 1mm and splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for UK driveways, front gardens, pathways and patios exposed to rain.

Designed for perimeter lighting rather than ambient garden wash, the twin heads direct light downwards and outwards along paths or towards doorways. The 575mm height positions the diffusers at shin-to-knee level when the post is ground-mounted, making it a practical choice for illuminating steps, path edges and driveway boundaries where head-height fixtures would obstruct sight lines. The E27 fittings accept standard LED or filament bulbs up to the wattage limit specified in the table below.

The black powder coating resists UV degradation and corrosion from salt spray in coastal areas better than painted mild steel, giving the post a longer service life in exposed positions.
