The Photonix Small is a 50cm outdoor pedestal light built around a black powder-coated aluminium post with a matt white plastic diffuser at the head. The diffuser is an oval dome approximately 135mm in diameter, housing a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The IP44 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for patios, decks, pathways and garden borders exposed to rain.

Designed for low-level pathway marking, patio perimeter lighting and beside outdoor seating areas, the 50cm height places the light source below typical eye level when standing, reducing glare while casting ambient light across horizontal surfaces. The matt white diffuser softens the bulb and spreads light evenly in all directions rather than directing it downwards, making it better suited to ambient garden lighting than focused task lighting. The cylindrical post and circular base give a footprint of approximately 110mm diameter.

The extruded and turned aluminium construction gives the fitting durability against outdoor conditions without the weight of solid metal, and the black powder coating resists UV fading and surface corrosion better than painted finishes. The minimalist form pairs with contemporary, modern and architectural garden design schemes.
