Description

The Philadelphia is a 525mm outdoor wall light built around a cast aluminium frame finished in old bronze patina, with champagne-tinted hand-blown glass and a decorative finial cap. The single E27 fitting inside the glass lantern takes bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and the IP44 rating protects the electrical components from rain and dust ingress.

Designed for front porches, side entrances, courtyard walls and garden pergolas, the Philadelphia projects 265mm from the wall and gives downward-directed light through the base of the glass, with a secondary glow through the champagne-tinted sides. The scrolled bracket and acanthus leaf detailing on the backplate suit traditional, Georgian and period-revival architecture. The old bronze finish develops a darker patina over time when exposed to weather.

The blown glass panels show slight variation in the champagne tint and surface texture between individual pieces, a result of the hand-blown manufacturing process. The aluminium construction resists rust and corrosion in coastal and high-humidity locations, while the IP44 rating allows installation under covered porches, canopies and overhangs where the fitting is not directly exposed to standing water. The 190mm width suits standard door surrounds and entrance columns without overwhelming the architectural detail.
