Description

The Philadelphia is a 190mm outdoor chain pendant with a cast metal body finished in old bronze patina and a single champagne-tinted blown glass panel. The body sits 380mm tall on the chain and houses one E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately, max 60W). The pendant carries an IP44 rating, protecting against water spray from any direction and solid objects above 1mm, making it suitable for covered outdoor locations such as porches, verandas, loggia spaces and entrance canopies.

Designed for traditional and classical architecture, the Philadelphia pairs period detailing — fluted mouldings, acanthus leaf brackets, scroll elements on the upper and lower body — with practical outdoor construction. The champagne glass diffuses the bulb while allowing warm light to reach the porch floor or entrance threshold. The 1590mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 540mm and 1540mm on installation, accommodating different ceiling heights in covered outdoor spaces.

The old bronze finish is applied to cast aluminium, giving the appearance of aged bronze without the weight or cost of solid bronze construction. The finish develops a darker patina in recessed details and lighter tones on raised edges, creating depth across the relief moulding. The champagne blown glass is hand-formed, so each panel shows slight variation in tone and thickness. At 190mm diameter the pendant works in entrance porches above a typical 900mm-wide door and on larger verandas where multiple pendants can be spaced along the roofline.

What bulb does it take?

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the chain before final wiring. Once installed and wired, the drop is fixed. The chain allows adjustment between 540mm and 1540mm to suit different porch ceiling heights.
