Description

The Pesvette Downlight comes as a set of three round recessed frames, each 9cm in diameter, with a plastic body in a satin nickel finish that has a soft, brushed sheen rather than the glare of bright chrome. Each frame takes one GU10 bulb of up to 5W. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the brightness and the shade of white that suit the room. The inner ring tilts, letting you angle the light instead of aiming every beam straight at the floor. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from bathrooms and the garden.

Recessed downlights suit living rooms, hallways, landings, bedrooms and studies, anywhere you want light from the ceiling without a pendant or shade hanging into the room. Because each head tilts, a set of three can pick out a picture, a run of shelves or a sideboard along one wall, while still giving general light across the space. The satin nickel finish looks at home against a white ceiling and sits well beside brushed steel door handles or nickel switch plates. Buying the three together also means every frame in the run matches.

Each frame needs a cut-out of 6.8cm and has a recess depth of 2.5cm, two figures worth checking against your ceiling before you order. Spring clips hold each frame in the ceiling, and there is no switch of its own, as the lights are switched at the wall. They run from a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply, and as a wired mains light the set is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions are available as a download, and the packed weight is 0.259KG.
