Description

Pesvette is a set of three round recessed downlights in black, each 9cm across, with a plastic body and a slim circular bezel that sits close to the ceiling. Each downlight takes a GU10 lamp and is rated at 4.5W, giving 345lm of warm white light. The IP20 rating settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from water and steam. Black downlights read as small, crisp dark circles on a pale ceiling, rather than disappearing into it.

They suit bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, landings and studies, anywhere dry that needs good general light without a hanging pendant. We like a line of them along a bed wall, or a run down a narrow hallway, for warm, spread-out light that leaves the ceiling clear. Black works well where a room already has dark accents, such as picture frames, door handles or a black light switch, and it gives a clean, graphic edge to a white or grey scheme. There is no switch on the lights themselves; they are switched at the wall, so they simply follow the light switch already in the room. Buying them as a set of three keeps every light in a row matching.

Each body is plastic, and spring fixing clips at either side hold each light in place in the ceiling. Before you order, check the space: each downlight needs a round cut-out 6.8cm wide and 8.5cm of clear depth behind the ceiling board. The lights run on 220-240V mains power and carry an F energy class, and the whole set weighs 0.45KG packed.
