Description

The Peony is a 1.12m table lamp built around a square tapered pedestal base decorated with horizontal taupe and black stripes, set on four silver leaf ball feet. A sculpted metal peony blossom sits on a silver stem rising from the base, supporting an inverted conical shade that repeats the taupe and black striped pattern. A gold peony finial crowns the top of the shade.

Designed for side tables, console tables and bedroom nightstands where height and decorative presence matter, the Peony provides ambient task light through a single E27 bulb (sold separately, 60W maximum). The 1.12m height suits table surfaces 700-800mm from the floor, positioning the light source at typical eye level when seated. The 230mm-wide base footprint remains stable on surfaces as narrow as 300mm.

The striped finish on both shade and base uses a fabric-over-frame construction rather than painted metal, giving the surface a softer texture under daylight. The silver leaf ball feet lift the base approximately 40mm off the table surface, creating visual lightness despite the overall height. The sculpted peony element between base and shade is cast metal with a hand-applied silver finish that shows slight tonal variation between individual pieces.

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

At 1.12m tall, the Peony works best on side tables, console tables or nightstands 700-800mm high. On lower surfaces the lamp may appear too tall for the space; on higher surfaces the light source may sit awkwardly above eye level when seated.

The stripes on both the shade and base are fabric-over-frame construction, giving a softer texture than painted metal. The fabric can be dusted with a soft brush or cloth but should not be wiped with water or cleaning sprays.

Dust the fabric shade and base with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. The silver leaf ball feet and metal peony stem can be wiped gently with a barely-damp cloth if needed, but avoid soaking or using household sprays on the fabric sections.
