Description

The Pentleigh medium flush ceiling light sits close to the ceiling, projecting only 220mm below it across a 400mm width, with the shade worked in Tiffany-style leaded glass. Two E27 lampholders are set inside, each taking a GLS bulb of up to 60W, and an LED bulb of the same cap and shape will fit just as well. The fitting weighs 2.7kg. Bulbs are not included, so the warmth and output of the room are yours to choose.

A flush mount fitting is the answer where a pendant simply will not do: cottage rooms with beams, dormer bedrooms, attic conversions, small hallways and landings where anything deeper would be in the way. At 400mm across it lights a small to medium room comfortably while keeping its footprint modest. The multicoloured leaded glass gives a low ceilinged room something worth looking at, and it works with period features and plain modern paint in equal measure. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

Small pieces of coloured glass are set into soldered metal seams and carried on a metal frame, so the shade shows as pattern in daylight and as warm colour once lit. Dust with a dry soft cloth, lift marks with a barely damp cloth and dry straight away, and keep sprays and abrasive creams away from the seams and metalwork. The fitting is Class 1 and needs an earthed supply at the ceiling, and it dims with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs.
