Description

The Pembroke is a 365mm flush ceiling light with a hand-forged iron frame finished in black with gold accent detailing. Two E27 bulbs sit beneath a frosted glass bowl diffuser, which is held in place by a decorative iron cage featuring scrollwork details at the compass points. The black finish on the metalwork provides the base tone, while gold highlights on the scrollwork edges catch room light and add depth to the frame.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant would hang too low, the Pembroke mounts directly to the ceiling with a 165mm projection. The flush fitting suits hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms in period properties, and living rooms in cottages or conversions where ceiling height limits pendant options. The frosted glass diffuses the light from both bulbs evenly across the room, reducing harsh shadows while the iron frame casts decorative patterns onto the ceiling surface.

The Pembroke takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs with a maximum wattage of 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to suit traditional interiors.

With a 165mm projection from the ceiling, the Pembroke works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant light would hang too low. It can also be used in taller rooms where a flush fitting is preferred for aesthetic reasons.

Is the gold finish shiny or muted?
