Description

Passiflora is a printed floral rug covered in passion flowers, climbing leaves and sprays of small blossom, set on a deep forest ground of dark blue and green. The Forest colourway puts olive and lime green foliage, teal leaves and cream and soft pink flowers against that dark background, so the floral pattern reads clearly from across the room. Because the design is digitally printed, fine detail such as the fringed centre of each passion flower comes through crisply. The rug is made from 100% polyester.

We sell Passiflora in five sizes. The 61 by 230cm runner suits a hallway or a long landing, while the 76 by 150cm size works at a front door, beside a bed or in front of a fireplace. The 120 by 170cm rug sits nicely under a coffee table, and the 152 by 230cm and 185 by 290cm sizes are generous enough to anchor a living room seating area or to sit under a double bed. The dark ground and botanical pattern suit a period home with painted walls just as well as a plainer modern room that needs some colour.

Care is simple, because the rug is washable. That settles the question for an entrance by the back door, a kitchen or a family room, where spills and muddy shoes are part of everyday life. Before you choose a size, measure the space and, in a larger room, allow a margin of bare floor around the rug so the floral design has room to show.
