Paso 80cm LED Bollard Light - Black IP54

The Paso is an 80cm aluminium LED bollard light with an integrated 12W 3000K LED and a black powder-coated finish rated IP54 for outdoor use. The rectangular column houses the LED module behind a diffused frosted panel at the top, which tilts at a 45-degree angle to direct light downwards along pathways, driveways and garden borders while minimising glare.

Designed for pathway marking and low-level perimeter lighting in residential gardens, hotel grounds, commercial walkways and car park edges, the Paso mounts to paving, gravel or concrete via a flat base plate with pre-drilled fixing points. The 80cm height positions the light source above typical ground cover and border planting without overwhelming the planting itself, while the 16.5cm width gives the bollard visual presence without blocking sightlines. The AC 100-240V input accepts standard UK mains voltage via underground cable run, and the IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

The aluminium construction with powder-coated black finish resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments, and the slender rectangular profile suits both contemporary and industrial-style architecture. What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?

IP54 means the bollard is protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. It can be installed in exposed locations including pathways, driveways and garden borders, but should not be submerged or installed in areas subject to standing water or pressure-washing.

How is the bollard wired?

The Paso requires a mains AC 100-240V supply run underground to the bollard location via armoured cable or conduit. The cable enters through the base of the bollard. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED module is integrated into the bollard and is not user-replaceable. The rated lifespan of the LED is typically 25,000-30,000 hours. If the LED fails within the warranty period, contact Maytoni or the retailer for support.

What spacing is recommended between bollards?

For continuous pathway lighting, space bollards 3-4m apart. For accent or marker lighting at steps, corners or gates, individual bollards can be positioned as needed. The 12W output and diffused lens provide a light pool of approximately 2-3m radius on the ground.
