Description
The Paris is a 230mm wide outdoor wall light with a half-dome copper shade made from galvanised steel. The dome projects 140mm from the wall and directs light downward through the open bottom, casting a soft pool of light onto the area below. An E27 bulb fitting inside the dome accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament depending on the light output and colour temperature needed.
Designed for covered outdoor areas where the fitting is protected from direct rain, the Paris carries an IP43 rating and suits porches, covered doorways, verandahs and patios with an overhang. The IP43 rating means it handles moisture and airborne dust but should not be fitted in fully exposed positions where rain can reach the open underside of the dome. The downward light distribution suits entrance areas where visibility is needed on steps, paths or door furniture without casting glare at eye level.
The copper finish on the galvanised steel develops a patina over time depending on exposure to air and moisture, shifting from a bright metallic tone toward deeper browns and eventually verdigris greens if left untreated. The half-dome shape sits close to the wall with a 140mm projection, making it suitable for narrower paths and side passages where a projecting bracket or lantern arm would obstruct movement. The 115mm height and simple dome geometry pair with mid-century, Scandinavian, industrial and contemporary architecture.

Frequently Asked
Can this be fitted in fully exposed outdoor positions?
No. The IP43 rating means it handles moisture and dust in sheltered outdoor areas but should not be fitted where direct rain can reach the open underside of the dome. Suitable positions include covered porches, verandahs, patios with overhangs and recessed doorways.
What bulb does it take?
The Paris takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for outdoor ambient lighting.
Will the copper finish change over time?
Yes. The copper finish on galvanised steel develops a patina depending on exposure to air and moisture. It will shift from a bright metallic tone toward deeper browns and eventually verdigris greens if left untreated outdoors. This is a natural characteristic of copper.
How far does it project from the wall?
The fitting projects 140mm from the wall surface once mounted. This relatively shallow projection makes it suitable for narrower paths and side passages where a deeper bracket or lantern arm would obstruct movement.
