Description

The Paratebueno is an eight light linear pendant: a long oval canopy in chrome with eight bird-shaped shades hanging at staggered heights, wings spread as though a small flock has paused mid flight. The body is steel, and the shades pair steel with plastic. It measures 116cm long, 26cm wide and 150cm high overall. Each bird carries its own integrated LED of 4.2W, giving 500lm of warm white light at 3000K, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

Because it spreads its light along 116cm, it is made for spaces where a single pendant would leave the ends in shadow: above a dining table, along a kitchen island or over a long sideboard. The staggered drops give a stairwell or a tall hallway something to look at from every step, and the birds read as a piece of sculpture by day as much as a light after dark. It suits anyone who wants a ceiling light with character that still feels calm and unfussy. Because it is dimmable, you can keep it bright for cooking and homework, then bring it down low for a quiet supper.

The pendant has no switch of its own: it is switched at the wall and runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, with an energy class of E. It weighs 13.14KG packed, so a second pair of hands helps when you unpack it. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so your electrician can read them before the work begins.

Frequently Asked

Can the Paratebueno pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for dry indoor rooms only, so we would keep it away from bathrooms and outdoor spaces.

How bright is each bird?

Each of the eight birds has an integrated 4.2W LED giving 500lm, in a warm white of 3000K that sits comfortably in living and dining rooms.

Is the pendant dimmable?

Yes, it is dimmable. The pendant has no switch of its own, so it is switched at the wall, and dimming lets you keep it bright for cooking or soft for supper.

How big is the pendant?

It is 116cm long, 26cm wide and 150cm high overall, which makes it a good match for a longer dining table or kitchen island.

Does it need bulbs?

No. The LEDs are integrated into each bird-shaped shade, so there are no bulbs to buy, fit or replace at any point.

What materials are the body and shades?

The body is steel in a chrome finish, and the bird-shaped shades combine steel and plastic for their folded, winged form.
