A long, slim picture light with a shallow head that reaches out from the wall and turns its light back down over whatever hangs below. At 90cm wide it is the largest of the family, made for broad canvases and long framed runs rather than a single small print. The LED is built in, so there is no lamp to fit and none to replace later, and it gives a warm white 3000K that flatters oil paint, varnished wood, warm papers and gilded frames. There is no dimming and no switch on the body, so it works as a straightforward on and off.

We reach for this length when a picture light has to cover real width: a wide landscape above a sofa, a pair of large prints hung side by side, or a run of photographs down a hallway. It works well in dining rooms, where the downward wash gives a soft second layer of light after the main pendant is turned down, and in studies and snugs above a bookcase or a sideboard. It suits anyone who wants the art lit properly rather than caught in the edge of a beam from across the room.

The body is a narrow bar in a sand black finish, quiet against pale plaster and near invisible on a dark wall, with the driver contained inside so nothing else needs to sit alongside it. For cleaning, run a dry cloth along the upper face of the head every few months, since that is where dust gathers first, and keep solvents and cream cleaners away from the black. It carries a three year warranty. We also stock the shorter lengths, and the same shape in polished chrome and antique brass if black is too stark for the wall you have in mind.
