Description
A slim bar in antique brass, 60cm across, with the lit face angled to send a broad wash of warm white light down the wall. The LED sits inside the housing and runs at 12W, so the fitting stays quiet against the plaster while doing the work of something far bulkier. There is no switch on the body and the output is not dimmable, so it comes up at full brightness with the circuit it is wired to.
We reach for this where a picture, a mirror or a run of shelving needs its own light rather than more light in the room generally. It suits a hallway with something worth looking at, a study wall of framed prints, a landing, or the space above a long sideboard. The projection carries the head clear of a frame so the light lands on the artwork and not on the wall behind it. Over a headboard it works well too, where a warm tone is kinder than anything cooler late in the evening. We stock a shorter version for smaller frames and a longer one for wide canvases.
The finish is an aged brass with a soft, low shine that settles happily against paint, paper and panelling alike. Keep it clean with a dry duster, and if fingerprints show, use a barely damp cloth and dry it off straight away; polishes and sprays are best kept well away from the brass. Dry indoor rooms are its place, so leave bathrooms and porches to something better sealed. It carries a three year warranty. Polished chrome and sand black are stocked alongside it in this same width, and the LED is built in, so there is no lamp to buy.

Frequently Asked
How much light does it give out?
It produces 908 lumens at 3000K, a warm white tone that flatters oils, prints and photographs without pushing them cool.
Can I dim it?
No, it is non-dimmable, so it should be run on a standard switch rather than a dimmer.
Does it have its own switch?
No, there is no switch on the fitting itself; it is controlled from the wall switch or circuit it is wired into.
How far does it stand off the wall?
It measures 600mm wide by 145mm high, with a projection of 195mm, which is enough to clear most frames and throw light across the face of the picture.
Will I ever need to change the bulb?
No, the LED and driver are integral, rated at 25,000 hours of average life.
What other sizes and finishes are there?
The same design comes in 45cm at 8W and 90cm at 18W, and each length is offered in antique brass, polished chrome and sand black.
