Description

A compact tapered shade in white, hung on a slim flex from a lighting track, so a run of them can be spaced out along a single line. The shade is 85mm across the mouth with a low, stepped profile that gives the range its name, and the light drops straight down in a tight pool rather than spilling sideways. It takes a GU10 reflector lamp, rated to 12W, and the drop can be let out to as much as 2.21m for tall rooms or pulled up short where the ceiling is lower.

Track pendants like this earn their keep over a kitchen island, a long dining table, a bar or a display shelf, where you want several small points of light at the same height and the freedom to slide them along as furniture moves. We reach for one of these where a single large pendant would crowd the room or block a sightline. The white shade disappears against a pale ceiling, which suits open-plan spaces that already have plenty going on visually. It is a fitting for dry rooms indoors, not for a bathroom zone or anywhere exposed to weather. Non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard switch.

The shade and body are finished in white inside and out, giving a clean bounce of light off the inner surface. Double insulated, and it carries a one year warranty. For upkeep, wipe the outside with a barely damp cloth when the power is off and the lamp is cold, then dry it; keep moisture away from the lampholder itself. We stock the same track pendant in black, and in integrated LED versions in warm and cool white if you would rather not deal with lamps at all. There is a ceiling-mounted Pagoda pendant in the range too, for spots where no track runs. Lamps are not included.
