Pagoda GU10 Track Light 85mm - Black

A small stepped shade, tapering in tiers to a narrow mouth, finished in black outside and black within so the lamp sits in shadow until it is switched on. It measures 8.5cm across the widest point, which makes it a neat marker on a track run rather than a broad shape competing with the ceiling. The suspension adjusts from a short hang down to 2.21m, so the same fitting can sit tight under a low ceiling or drop into the middle of a room. It takes a GU10 lamp, up to 12W, and a reflector LED gives the tight, directional pool the shade is shaped for.

We use these where a track needs something with a little more presence than a plain spot: over a kitchen island, above a bar or breakfast counter, along a shop or gallery counter, or picking out a long dining table. Because each one hangs independently, a group can be staggered at different heights to follow a worktop or step down a stairwell wall. It is not dimmable, so pair it with an ordinary switch and choose the lamp for the brightness and colour you want. Anyone already running track will find it an easy way to add height and detail without redoing the circuit.

The body stands 110mm tall and is double insulated, and the black is even across shade and stem, inside and out. To clean, switch off first and let the lamp go cold, then run a dry cloth over the outside and lift dust from the inner cone with a soft brush; keep sprays and damp cloths away from the lamp holder. It is for dry rooms indoors, on a normal household circuit. We stock the same shade in white, and there are versions with the LED built in if you would rather not choose a lamp. It carries a one year warranty. Lamps are not included.

What lamp should I fit?

A GU10 LED reflector lamp with a 50mm head suits it best, rated up to 12W. The lamp is bought separately.

How far down does it hang?

The drop adjusts between 210mm and 2210mm, measured from the track, so it works under low ceilings and over tall rooms alike.

Can it be dimmed?

No. This version is non-dimmable, so use it on a standard switch rather than a dimmer.

How big is the shade?

It is 85mm in diameter with a body height of 110mm, and the whole fitting weighs 0.45kg.

Is it suitable for a bathroom or outside?

No, it is rated IP20 and intended for dry indoor rooms such as kitchens, dining rooms and retail interiors.
