Description
The Knightsbridge OWALL2WP is a compact outdoor up-down wall light with an integrated photocell sensor that automatically switches the light on at dusk and off at dawn. Built from 201 stainless steel with a white powder-coated finish, the cylindrical fitting houses two GU10 lamp holders — one facing upward, one downward — creating a bidirectional light wash across external walls.
Designed for residential porches, entrance areas, garage doors and commercial building facades, the fitting carries an IP54 rating providing protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. The photocell removes the need for manual switching or additional timer controls, making the light function autonomously once wired in. The 98mm projection from the wall and 170mm height give enough standoff distance to cast light across rendered, brick or painted surfaces without creating harsh shadows directly beneath the mounting point.
The fitting accepts two GU10 bulbs up to 20W each (sold separately), allowing users to choose LED bulbs in their preferred colour temperature and beam angle. Most installations pair this with warm-white 3000K LED GU10s at 4-6W for accent lighting, or cool-white 4000K at 6-8W for security-focused applications. The white powder coat on the stainless steel provides corrosion resistance in coastal and high-moisture environments while maintaining a clean neutral appearance that pairs with white or pale-coloured building exteriors.

Frequently Asked
How does the photocell sensor work?
The integrated photocell detects ambient light levels and automatically switches the wall light on when darkness falls and off when daylight returns. This removes the need for manual switching or separate timer controls. The sensor responds to natural light conditions rather than a fixed time schedule.
What bulbs does it take?
The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED GU10s between 4-8W in warm white (3000K) for accent lighting or cool white (4000K) for security applications.
Is it suitable for coastal locations?
Yes. The 201 stainless steel construction with white powder-coated finish provides corrosion resistance in coastal and high-moisture environments. The IP54 rating protects against salt spray and rain from any direction.
Can the up-down light effect be adjusted?
No. Both GU10 bulbs are fixed in position — one facing upward, one downward. The light distribution is determined by the beam angle of the GU10 bulbs chosen. Narrow-beam GU10s (25-38 degrees) create more defined light pools, while wide-beam GU10s (60-120 degrees) produce broader wall wash.
