Description

The Otis-1 is a single outdoor spotlight with an adjustable black resin head housing one GU10 fitting, rated to IP66 for complete protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets. The resin body and diffuser are designed to resist atmospheric agents, chemical fertilizers and temperature extremes from -60°C to +90°C, making the fitting suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK climates and harsher environments.

Designed for wall mounting on building facades, under eaves, on boundary walls and in gardens where directional light is needed to highlight architectural features, trees, shrubs or pathways. The head rotates and tilts on a ball joint, allowing the GU10 beam to be directed precisely where needed after installation. The 120mm length and 125mm projection give the fitting a compact profile that sits close to the wall when not angled outward.

The resin construction keeps the weight low compared to metal equivalents while maintaining structural integrity under impact and UV exposure. The black finish presents as a textured matt surface that reduces reflections and blends into most outdoor settings without drawing attention to the fitting itself. The spotlight accepts any standard GU10 LED bulb up to the fitting's maximum rating (sold separately), giving control over beam angle, colour temperature and wattage to suit the specific application.

Frequently Asked

What does the IP66 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP66 provides complete protection against dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction. The Otis-1 can be installed in exposed positions subject to rain, garden sprinkler systems and pressure washing without water entering the fitting.

What bulb does it take?

The spotlight takes one standard GU10 bulb (sold separately). Most users pair this with a 5-7W GU10 LED in either warm white (2700-3000K) for ambient garden lighting or cool white (4000K+) for security and architectural highlighting.

Can the head be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The head rotates and tilts on a ball joint, allowing the beam direction to be changed after the fitting is mounted. This means you can reposition the light seasonally or as garden planting matures.

What temperature range can it handle?

The resin body is rated from -60°C to +90°C, covering all typical UK outdoor conditions plus extreme cold in northern regions and direct summer sun exposure on south-facing walls.
