Description
The Orvyn is a compact alabaster pendant light built around a 120mm soft white globe cut from natural Spanish alabaster, suspended beneath an elongated brushed brass oval frame. The globe sits at the base of the frame on a slim brass collar, fed by a single G9 lamp socket. Total height is 350mm from canopy to the underside of the globe, giving the pendant an upright, architectural profile with the stone reading as the visual anchor below the brass.
The small footprint suits positions where a larger pendant would dominate: above a bedside table in place of a wall light, lining the length of a kitchen island in groups of three or five, or hung individually in a hallway, cloakroom or stairwell. The single G9 lamp draws low wattage, so the Orvyn works as accent or low-level ambient light rather than primary task lighting. The cable can be shortened on installation to set the drop appropriate to the ceiling height.
Because each globe is cut from natural alabaster, the veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between individual pieces. When lit, the stone diffuses light evenly through the sphere and the internal mineral structure becomes visible as soft variation across the surface. The brushed brass frame is finished with a satin texture that softens reflections and gives a clean junction where the metal meets the stone, balancing the round globe against the vertical oval above.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Orvyn take?
The pendant uses a single G9 capsule lamp, sold separately. A 2700K-3000K warm white LED G9 is recommended to bring out the natural warmth of the alabaster and complement the brushed brass frame.
Does each alabaster globe look the same?
No. Every globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and gives each pendant a unique character once illuminated.
Can the drop be adjusted?
The suspension cable can be shortened on installation to set the drop to suit the ceiling height. Above a kitchen island the underside of the globe typically sits 700-800mm above the worktop; over a bedside table around 400-600mm above the surface works well.
Is the Orvyn suitable for grouping?
Yes. The compact 120mm globe and slim 350mm height make the Orvyn well suited to multiples. Three pendants spaced evenly along a kitchen island, or a pair either side of a bed, work without the fittings becoming visually heavy.
