Orlix 5 Light Pendant - White, 60cm

The Orlix is a 600mm diameter pendant light built around a shallow disc of white blown glass, supported by five E27 bulb fittings housed above the diffuser inside a white painted metal frame. The glass disc sits beneath the metal canopy, creating a clean, unbroken circular profile when viewed from below. Steel suspension cables run from the ceiling rose to the metal frame, adjustable via automatic cable stoppers during installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Orlix provides ambient light distributed evenly across the 600mm glass surface. The five E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit above the diffuser, so the light passes through the blown glass before spreading into the room. The shallow 165mm height keeps the pendant visually compact even at a 600mm diameter, making it suitable for rooms where a deep drop pendant would feel intrusive.

The blown glass diffuser shows subtle variation in thickness and light transmission depending on the section of glass, so individual Orlix pendants vary slightly in how they distribute light when illuminated. The white painted metal frame provides a clean contrast against the translucent glass and conceals the bulb fittings from view when the pendant is installed at typical dining-table height (700-800mm above the surface). The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

What bulbs does it take?

The Orlix takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W each to achieve 300-500 total lumens for dining or ambient lighting. The fitting is dimmable when used with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The suspension cables are adjustable via automatic cable stoppers, allowing the pendant to be set 700-800mm above a dining table or 600-900mm above a kitchen island depending on the ceiling height and desired effect.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Orlix is suitable for dry indoor locations only and must not be installed in bathrooms, outdoor areas, or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or splashing.

How is the glass cleaned?

The blown glass diffuser can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth when the bulbs are switched off and cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the glass or metal frame.
